D'Ieteren Group Sailing launches it's Impact Project
Entrepreneurship is about having a positive impact
An entrepreneur has the potential to have a positive impact on its community and on society as a whole through a mission that is both social and sustainable, explicit and central. Thanks to their innovative and creative spirit, numerous entrepreneurs champion projects aimed at providing novel solutions for overcoming social and environmental challenges by proposing a particular product or service.
As a family business and a family of businesses, an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit is an integral part of D’Ieteren Group’s genetic make-up.
As such, D’Ieteren Group aims to support courageous, bold and creative people to enable them to realise their professional dream and, in so doing, have a positive impact on society, whether that be on an environmental or societal level. This initiative, reflects the Group’s already-existing philanthropic approach.
Through its partnership with the skipper and entrepreneur Denis Van Weynbergh for the Vendée Globe 2024, D’Ieteren Group and its skipper aim to go beyond sporting achievements and promote the values they hold dear, including courage, curiosity, boldness and entrepreneurial spirit. Just as it is doing with Denis in the Vendée Globe adventure, the Group is keen to provide support, experience and expertise to entrepreneurs who share the same values.
Already a partner to the non-profit organisation Funds for Good Impact since 2020, D’Ieteren Group is continuing this collaboration with the aim of supporting and accompanying men and women eager to have a significant impact through an entrepreneurial project. In close collaboration with its specialist advisor, for whom this area of activity is the core business, the Group will reward three entrepreneurs with dedicated funding.
Convinced that entrepreneurs can take action and become drivers of change, in addition to providing access to funding, the Group’s support will take different forms, including the sharing of specific skills and expertise through personal coaching.
